BREAST CANCER MULTIDISCIPLINARY COURSE
Course Goals August 15th 2014
Understanding the principles of multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment is crucial to providing optimal breast care. This practical course consisting of lectures and interactive sessions will make you comfortable in the core knowledge of all aspects of breast care. While the course will have a strong surgical focus it will reflect the normal interaction between disciplines who make up the Breast Team.

The Course is highly interactive with illustrated clinical cases and videos. It will walk you through the average day in a breast unit/clinic and theatre setting,
providing up to-date breast knowledge. You will gain an understanding of the basics of breast cancer care, as advocated by national and international guidelines. It will be delivered in the highly successfully entertaining DRCA educational style. The meeting will stimulate your mind to think laterally and will finish with a provocative lecture on endoscopic breast surgery.
