The 9th advanced Emergency Abdominal Surgery Course (aEASC) was held for the first time in Turkey on Wednesday 22nd October attended by over a hundred Surgeons (and some residents) as part of the 12th World Society Emergency Surgery World Congress, organised by WSES and Professor Mehmet Eryilmaz. The Surgeon’s found the day to be a tremendous educational event with over two thirds stating it was the best course they have ever been attended. The evaluation is available on the download. The next course is the 40th Trainee EASC Course in Dublin on Friday January 23rd 2026. EASC courses in conjunction with WSES and Donegal Clinical Research Academy have now been held in 13 countries with over 4000 participants.

Participants receive a synoptic view of the current literature and have to undertake a quiz to complete the course certification. The next course will be on January 23rd 2026 in Dublin, Ireland.
