Research carried out at Letterkenny University Hospital in conjunction with Donegal Clinical Research Academy was recently presented at the XXVIII Waterford Surgical October Meeting; one of Ireland’s leading scientific surgical meetings.

Five research projects, including 4 linked to the new Emergency Surgery Outcome Advancement Program, (eSOAP) in conjunction with Interreg funding, were presented. LUH is proud that our young researchers and future carers are achieving this research output. In the previous 2 years the hospital has won both best oral and poster presentations at this National meeting.
