Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Course

Course Goals August 15th 2014

Understanding the principles of multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment is crucial to providing optimal breast care. This practical course consisting of lectures and interactive sessions will make you comfortable in the core knowledge of all aspects of breast care. While the course will have a strong surgical focus it will reflect the normal interaction between disciplines who make up the Breast Team.

Who should attend

  • · Surgical Trainees (General/Plastic)
  • · Oncology Trainees
  • · Radiology Trainees
  • · Pathology Trainees
  • · GP's with special Breast Interest
  • · Breast Nurses
  • • Mammographers

.
The Course is highly interactive with illustrated clinical cases and videos. It will walk you through the average day in a breast unit/clinic and theatre setting,
providing up to-date breast knowledge. You will gain an understanding of the basics of breast cancer care, as advocated by national and international guidelines. It will be delivered in the highly successfully entertaining DRCA educational style. The meeting will stimulate your mind to think laterally and will finish with a provocative lecture on endoscopic breast surgery.
When you leave the course we hope you will be thrilled with a great days education.

Donegal Clinical Research Academy would like to thank RCSI for their support and the sponsors without whom we could not share this course with you.
